Today I coded from 9-10. I got through conversations 306-311. I had one long conversation and the rest of them were a decent length. See everyone later!

Shelby’s Experiments
Today I ran experiments for 1 to 2pm. I ran the gambling study for the first time, but Dr. Lench could not watch me run it because my participant happened to be in one of her classes. My second participant didn’t show up. For the rest of my hour in the lab I finished setting up the database for the white car image evaluation study, and entered subjects 1 through 10.

Today I ran the gambling study from 11am – 1pm. I only had 3 participants signed up and I had one no show so since I had some extra time I made copies of the consent form because we only had 1 left. I got through subject number 113 & 114. Everyhting went well!

Misha’s Coding
Today I coded data from 8-9. I got through conversations 298-305. I finally figured out a great system to code the experimenter coding! I doubt that I will get through with this by the end of the semester, but whoever codes after me won’t have that much work to do.

windy thursday
Today I typed up about 15 narratives from about 3 – 4, and finally got around to some much needed organizing and general cleaning. I separated good data (that we can use from data that is too short to run through the LIWC program.

jenny’s meta-analysis
In the lab from 1:30- 4:30. Finished up a couple of articles today. Jamie came by and answered a few questions for me. She’s coming by around 1:30 next week so I can start entering all the data into SPSS. I should finish that in the 3 hour block I’m there! If not, I’ll finish it up Friday or another random day!
Shelby’s Data Entry
Today I entered data for the image eval study 4 from 8 to 9am, then again from 11am to 1 pm. I entered subjects 51-102, so I’m done with this study! Next week I’ll set up a new database for the image evaluation studies Thomas and I ran this semester.
Experiments 4/16
So since I don’t have my car again I couldn’t get up here for coding at 8, so I owe 9 hrs again.
I ran from 11:15 to 1:15 subjects 109-112 we are getting close to being done! Yay! We are out of space on the sign in sheet and it is time for a new one.
Misha’s Experiments
Today I ran experiments from 9-11. All four of my participants showed up today. I only had one girl which is weird. Everything went well except for a few computer errors. We should be finished with the gambling study by next week. I am on #108.

Tina’s Coding
I forgot to post a blog earlier because I spent the last two hours of coding in the library researching some studies. I coded from 11am – 2pm and I also added in more data for emtion elicitations into SPSS. Everything went well, I realized how bad i am at finding books in the library but I got better as I went a long 
it was a good learning experiance haha.
