ok so I didn’t know I was supposed to blog after everything I do…this will be a recap of last week. I was here on Monday from 1-4 training and then I did research for about an hour. Thursday the 4th I encoded data for an hour. On Friday the 5th I ran the experiment for the first time, it went very smoothly and I feel much better about it. I had two no-shows but besides that no problems. Today I went though about 50 articles and took about half. I started working from the bottom today though so the document might be somewhat confusing.

So I can officially blog again. Last week I ran studies on friday from 1-4, all went well. I also coded last monday 1-4 and thursday 1-2…Christy and I are finally done with one section! I coded today for two hours and only got through 1 and a half articles, its going to be a grueling process.
I’m making up the study hours I am missing this friday sometime next week by encoding data.

Today I coded data from 8-9. I finally finished my emotion elicitation videos. They were about 20 minutes long altogether. After that I made copies for everything in the targets study. We should be good for awhile, but just let me know if we start running low on things. We have got to find a way to fit in everything. It is very difficult to finish both the life events survey and also the personality survey. Maybe we can find a way to put a time limit on both and just have them finish at a certain point. Like making 20 minutes into the study the stopping point for the life events survey and then using the last ten minutes for the mood and comment form, personality survey, and debriefing.

Ran lab from 9-10 today, and all went well. Coding from 130-3:00 today .. still in process of coding data, now.
making up my additional 2.5 hours from Friday, and Monday over the weekend and next week.

In the lab from 11:30-2:30. Got some more studies ready for us to start doing. I’m going to set up times to train all the new ppl in lab so they can start coding too. Emailed a few more of the authors of the studies and got another reply!!

Running lab this morning was good. The computer(s) were needing to be restarted, so it interrupted one participants study, but other than that, it went well.

Ran today fro, 11:30-2:30. No problems, but need more debriefing forms and credit slips!! I’ll tell Tina about it

Today I coded data from 8-9. I made copies for things and also did the emotional elicitation for the Mozart video. That video somewhat relaxed me. I ran experiments from 10:30-11:30. I started the new protocol. It’s very important to start on time because they have to complete a long survey on top of the personality questionnaire. I hope this one doesn’t move as fast as the last one.
