Today I was in lab from 9:00-1:00. I came in early to set up the computers and get everything ready. I ran 5 participants for the Function B study. Then, I ran 6 participants for the Object Identification study. Everything went well, participants started and finished the study on time. There were 3 no-shows in the Object Identification study.

I was in the lab from 8-9:30. I worked on a study progress and location sheet as requested by Shane. The sheet will have all currently running studies listed, their progress, and where to find their coding materials (i.e. consent form locations). It will also have current coding studies and other closed and coded studies, their progress, and the location of the coding materials (the file cabinet and on the computer). This is to help organize the locations of materials, make it easier for grad students to find their data, and to aid in re-organizing the cabinet in the future.

Melissa 4/20

I traded hours with Hannah, so I covered for her for Function Boredom. I only had one participant, and everything ran smoothly. During my down time, I coded for meta-analysis, and ended up finished 8 authors. I found out that one of the authors sited Dr. Grau, who works here, in one of his papers and that made me super excited! I was a little distracted though because my family lives in Cypress and the flooding has been pretty bad there, so it took me a little longer to code since I have been trying to stay in contact with my family. Hopefully the water clears up so I can do the meta-analysis with a clear mind and get even more done!

Today I was in the lab from 12:00-3:00pm. I was here for an extra hour since I will be missing lab hours next week. Wednesdays are coding days for me so checked the NSF five point sheets and entered the new data into SPSS. I also checked consent forms for current studies, shredded what needed to be shredded, and tried to figure out meta analysis. Overall everything went smoothly!

Today I was in the lab for 1 hour. I coded from 12:30-1 and ran one FunctionB study from 1-1:30. I had one no-show participant. There seems to be an issue with the sound on the fiction video, I have emailed Shane about this. Melissa and I traded running hours, so she will be running for me today!
