Today I was in lab from 9:30-11:30. My participant went through the study in a timely manner and everything went good. During my coding task I helped sort the Beige File Cabinet: Second Drawer. Today was a good day, and don’t forget to tell Zari Happy Birthday when you get the chance!

Today I was in lab from 2-6, and ran two participants. For my coding task, I wrote thank you letters to the graduate students from the panel, and was helped by Sydney while she ran a participant. On Friday, everyone will be signing the cards.

Today I was in lab from 8:00-11:00. My participant took up all of their time and everything went well. During my coding hours I read the article that we will be discussing Friday. I enjoyed the reading and found it very interesting.

Today, I ran NSF from 8:00 to 10:00 and 12:00 to 1:00. I coded for the meta-analysis and was the confederate for NSF from 10:00 to 12:00.

One of the participants I ran asked if I needed to turn the microphone off after she was done answering the prescreening questions.

I had a very fun coding task today which Cienna assigned me that involved creating an Excel spreadsheet, which I love doing!  I was able to enter in all of the past research assistants and the various semesters that they served under to create a contact list so that our current research assistants can contact them in the nearby future to update the website information.  I would have to say that making Excel spreadsheets and organizing data are my favorite coding tasks so far!  Have a great week everybody!

Today I coded data for suspicion checks and ran two participants. My first participant ran smoothly and with no problems. My second participant neglected to write anything down on her condition form and left it blank. Hopefully her data wasn’t affected by this. Anyway, the AC is now working again(kinda) and that’s something to celebrate!!

Today  I ran two participants in the frequency protocol. Everything went smoothly, except for the AC not working. I left after this and will use one of my coding hours from the summer to replace it.

Today I was in lab from 8-12 pm. There wasn’t a participant signed up for the 8-9 time slot. So I decided to do my cleaning duties and read some of the research article we will discuss at the lab meeting on Friday. I ran a participant in the NSF study from 9-10 and did not have any problems.  Then I searched for research articles for my research project for the remainder of the time.

Today I was in lab from 9:30-11:30. My participant took up their entire time but still finished on time. Everything went smoothly but room temperature was definitely hotter than normal at 78 degrees Fahrenheit. During coding time I worked on my literature review for my research project. It was a productive, happy, and hot day in lab.
