11.30.17

Haley Hester 11/30/2017

I cannot believe that today is the last day in November, time is just flying by!  I was scheduled to perform five studies today (4 NSF and 1 Mars Mission); however, all 5 studies’ participants were no-shows.  This is quite sad to me, because I love running studies.  While I was waiting for the next participant(s), I checked my email to see if any lab alumni had contacted me back, but none had.  I re-read my article that I will be presenting this Sunday at Dr. Lench’s house and gathered my thoughts on how I want to organize my PowerPoint presentation.  I performed my weekly coding task of restarting all of the computers in our area.

I forgot to do my blog post from this Tuesday! I do not recall having anything unusual happen during the studies those days. Today I ran a participant in the frequency protocol and a person in the Mars study, because one of them was a no show. Excited for our end of the semester gathering on Sunday!

Today I came into lab from 8:00-1:30. I had a no-show at 8:00 am, then I ran a participant for the NSF study, one participant for the Mars study (the other participant was a no-show), and another participant for the NSF study. I then ran three participants for Wan’s Love study from 12:00-1:30. I also helped Wan and Zari sort out an issue with the Mars data (there was a big block of participant numbers/data missing) and worked a bit on Ken’s meta-analysis. Carlos and I ran into an issue with the meta-analysis so I contacted Ken in order to get it sorted out. Overall, lab went well today.

Today I came into lab from 3:00-5:30 for Wan’s Love Study. I was running a few minutes late because a meeting ran late but I was able to make it in time for my first participant, though he had to wait for a few minutes while I set up. I ran three participants and had two no-shows. Overall, lab went well today.

Today I was in the lab from 11:30-2. I ran one mars study that went really smoothly. My participant started asking questions at the end because he was sooo frustrated since he couldn’t pass what was set out for him. Overall, a really good day. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!
