Today I was in lab from 1:30-5, and ran both the MARS and Love study. For my coding task, I edited the Love protocol and printed a new one. I also continued on the Replication meta.

I was in lab today from 11 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. For the first 30 minutes I reviewed the Mars protocol and set up the computers for the experiment. I ran three sessions with all the participants showing up for each session. After debriefing the students in the first session, two of them—who were in the requirements allocation condition—mentioned that they intentionally lowered their robustness scores after getting 100% robustness to get closer to the score mentioned in the instructions. I mentioned this to Wan and typed an email for him to look at and address. Besides this, a couple of participants talked during the experiment, which i made note of.

Today I came into lab from 11:30-3:00. The first 30 minutes were spent in a training session for the next phase of meta-analysis. From 12:00-2:00, my hours are supposed to be for meta-analysis but the next phase isn’t ready yet so I worked on other things. From 2:00-3:00 I ran two participants for Mars. I forgot to make sure the participants were in the college of engineering, and one of the participants spent a long time on the game so I had to ask him to move on and complete the survey. Other than that, lab went well today.

Today I came to lab early to have a training session in working the Meta-Analysis with the other RA’s. During my lab hours I was scheduled to run two love participants, however one was a no show. I also read through the lab syllabus thoroughly.

Today I was in lab from 10:00 am -1:00 pm. I ran my mars study participant and everything went smoothly. During coding hours I finished up the first part of our Meta-Analyses search. The Meta Team met with Ken to discuss the next portion of the project for 30 minutes. After that I started working on structuring my methods section for my independent project. It was a great day of lab.

I forgot to blog my hours from yesterday! Yesterday I ran my first 4 participants with the Love study. My third participant forgot to input his age and gender because he pressed “ok” too fast. I recorded his information on the run sheet. Today I ran 2 participants in the morning and it ran smoothly! I will be taking the GRE this Thursday, wish me luck!
